Happy Anniversary!! - from guest blogger Justin

I am commandeering the Myers Family Blog to wish Cassie a surprise happy anniversary! Today is our four year anniversary and time is flying by…especially now that we have Owen along for the ride! I just wanted to take the opportunity to write a little bit about how amazing of a wife and mother she is and share it with all of her faithful readers. It’s been a challenge this year adjusting to our new family member but it’s been a lot of fun! Owen is getting bigger and cuter every day. He is now sitting up really well and he’s getting pretty close to crawling. He also has two teeth now popping out of his bottom gums. His naps during the day are a little random but he pretty much always sleeps well at night (knock on wood!), usually from about 8pm to 6 or 7am. He’s also learning to like (as well as detest) certain foods. His “I don’t like this” face is probably about the funniest thing I’ve ever seen in my life. We’ll have to get some video of it up here soon!

All of Owen’s progress is a credit to Cassie and the amazing job she does in taking care of him. It’s no lie that being a mother is the hardest job in the world. My job is easy in comparison. I get home around 5:30 or so and by the time we put him to bed I’m beat. And that’s just after a couple hours of playing. It’s very likely that I’m just a wuss and older than my age, but she plays with him and takes care of him all day and rarely runs out of steam (at least not until he’s in bed).

I know that Cassie would deny it but her motherly instincts couldn’t be any better and Owen is so lucky to have her as a mom. He obviously still has a limited vocabulary but it’s no surprise that his favorite phrase is “mamamama..”! And I am of course so lucky to have her as a wife! Happy anniversary buddy!!!

P.S. - Is it just me or is she not just a great mother and wife, but a great writer too?? We need to find a way that she can get paid for this!!
