The pool!

We were able to enjoy the pool a few times when we were in Miami. Luckily, the pool was heated so it was very comfortable getting in. I would have to say that is one of my least favorite aspects of being a mom...having to suck up freezing cold pool temperatures because your little guy wants to swim! But, as I mentioned, these pools were heated...awesome!

One of the pools at the resort was a zero-entry pool. This is basically a new must-have for any future vacation destinations. Owen could walk and splash around. He could sit down and play...it was perfect!

Walking around with Daddy in the pool

Hey, check out my cool shades, why don't you?

I love the pool!

The best part of the pools, was the Blue Monster Slide. After a few solo trips to make sure it was okay, we decided to take Owen down the slide. He had a blast! It was a pretty long, windy, super fast slide, and the entire way down, you could hear Owen squealing and laughing. He loved it!!

Aunt Kristen took me down the slide, too!

Now it's mommy's turn!

Miami Children's Museum

On another one of the not-so-great-swimming-weather days, we took a trip to the Miami Children's Museum. While it was not quite as "toddler-friendly" as the children's museum in Cincinnati, Owen still had a great time and did a lot of fun stuff.

Surprise, surprise...Owen found something to push

A Rainy Day in Miami

For the most part, we had good weather while we were in Miami. We did have a few rainy/chilly days, though. We used the crappy weather as an excuse to check out all of the malls near where we were staying, and more importantly...the playgrounds!

Technical Difficulties

We are currently experiencing technical difficulties with The Myers Family blog :( I have tried literally every day for a week to post pictures from vacation and also from a day at the park, but the won't upload!

I wanted to make this small "announcement" so people wouldn't think I was just being lazy again :) I hope I can get some pictures up soon.

We're Baaaaaack!

We are reluctantly back to normal here in Cincinnati. We had a great vacation, and took lots of pictures! We also had a little scare with Owen and had to take him to urgent care (he was coughing A LOT and not able to catch his breath), but an upper respiratory infection diagnosis and some antibiotics later, and he is back to normal (almost).

We played at the pool, played at the mall on a few rainy days, and visited the Miami children's museum. One of the highlights of our trip was meeting Great-Grandpa and Great-Grandma Myers at the Rainforest Cafe for dinner one night. Owen was completely mesmerized by the restaurant! We had a great time, and even got in the photo booth with Owen.

I'll try to get some more pictures up soon...I just thought I'd share this one, because I love it! :)

We're Goin' to Miami

Tomorrow, Justin, Owen, and I are heading south! We are going to Miami for a week with Justin's family, and it couldn't come at a better time...I am looking forward to some heat! (...and I don't mean the basketball team).

We will definitely be taking our camera, and hopefully I'll remember the USB cable so we can update you next week.

Oh, Charleston

Last week, Owen and I spent the week in SUNNY South Carolina. The weather was gorgeous, and definitely a nice change from Cincinnati...

Our back deck before we left

The warm weather was definitely a nice change for Owen. He LOVES to be outside. He laughs and squeals every time we go get the mail! In SC, we went to a couple of parks, went for walks, and got to swing (although apparently Owen doesn't remember how much he loves to swing, because he was definitely scared this time)!

Getting to play outside!!

I would have to say the biggest "hit" of the trip for Owen, however, was Caesar and Callie - Aunt Katie and Uncle Ben's two golden retrievers. I was a little nervous as to how Owen would react to the dogs. We don't have a pet, and Owen isn't really around dogs very often, so I was worried they might scare him. I think he was the one doing the scaring most of the time! He LOVED them...he laughed every time he saw them, loved playing in their water bowls, and even liked trying out their food. :)

Fun with Caesar and Callie

We had a great time while we were gone. We missed Daddy like crazy, but we got to talk to him on Skype a few times. Katie and I have been very fortunate to have been able to visit each other quite a bit this past year. It has been great for our boys, and great for us as well! We realized this will probably be our last time getting together for a while. Niece Newton is due at the end of March, and with Baby Myers #2 shortly following, we came to the conclusion it might be kind of difficult traveling with toddlers and babies!

Look-a-Like?

I am shocked I am actually following through with a blog promise! As I said, here are side-by-side (or top and bottom) pictures of Owen (at 28 weeks) and Baby Myers #2 (at 24 weeks).

It was REALLY hard to get a good picture of Owen. He was being a stinker and wouldn't move. In fact, we only ended up with profile pictures! We got a lot of great images of Baby Myers #2, although it was difficult to capture them, because he was moving so much! There is definitely a difference in the way they act in the womb. I am getting super excited to get to know Baby Myers #2 outside :)

So...here they are. I don't really think they look that much alike, but it's kind of hard to tell since Owen's is a profile and Baby Myers #2 is straight on. We've heard mixed reviews, though. Some people think they look a lot alike, and some don't. What's your thoughts??

More Baby Myers #2

A few weeks ago, I had to have a Level II ultrasound for Baby Myers #2. It was nothing serious - just a precaution because of my seizure disorder and the medicine I have to take because of it. Just like with Owen, everything turned out perfect. I was extremely happy for the opportunity to take another peek at our growing little peanut.

It was pretty exciting this time, because the tech switched the images to 4D, so we got some great images! We had a 4D ultrasound with Owen, but we had to pay for it - this time it was free!! In the next few days I am going to try and put up an image of Owen from his ultrasound and an image of Baby Myers #2 to see what you guys think :)

Now for the goods...

Me!

Ugh - I wish they would stop making me move! (this one is just plain ole 2D)

Look at my piggies!!

Look at me touch my toes!
