Waterpark fun

On our way back from Charleston (yes, I am still blogging about a trip that happened six weeks ago), we stopped in Gatlinburg for a few nights of waterpark fun (I suppose if you want to get technical, we were actually staying in Sevierville at the Wilderness at the Smokies resort). On the way down to Charleston, I flew by myself with the boys on a Thursday. Justin made the drive by himself Friday after work, and then we all left Charleston on the following Thursday and stopped for a Myers mini-vacay. :)

I cannot tell you how weird it was being on an actual vacation with MY two small children. I really felt like I was babysitting or something...that there is no way I am old enough to be on vacation, in charge of MY family. Very very weird. I am not going to lie - the thought of indoor water parks kind of gross me out. It could be the 17 bandaids I saw floating around in various pools or the people in the water that looked like this was their first "bath" in a while. But, I honestly don't think there is anything TOO unhealthy or dangerous about them, so I feel like it's just one of those things I have to suck up for my kids...and Owen definitely enjoyed it! So, in the end, it was worth it :)

Taking a ride on the lazy river

Checking out the huge wave pool

Riding the waves with Dad

Checking out the water tables

Riding the see-saw

The water swings were fun!

Augh! The giant bucket of water dumped all over Owen

Whew! We survived!

Lucas had a good time, too

What a yummy sucker!
