It's been a while! :) The month of May has been pure madness for the Myers family. And Baby Myers #2 isn't even here yet!! (More on that in a minute...). On May 5th, we closed on our new house, and since then have been packing, moving, and settling in like crazy. Well, I should say Justin, his parents, sister, and brother-in-law, my parents, and the Faust family have been packing, moving, and helping us settle like crazy. Me? I have been "directing" :) We have been at our new house a little over a week, and although we still have quite a few things left to do, we are for the most part settled. There is no way we could have done it without the help of our family and friends, so THANK YOU!!!!
It was very bittersweet leaving our old house. We loved our house...we were just starting to see that we were going to need more space sooner rather than later, and we wanted to be in a "neighborhood" where Owen (and Baby Myers #2) could have lots of little friends to play with. But, it was sad leaving. I definitely shed a tear or two...although that could have been the pregnancy talking.

I don't have any pictures of the new house, but maybe one of these days I can post some. We couldn't be more thrilled with our decision to move. We are now on a cul-de-sac, and on our street alone, there is another 18-month old, a three year-old, a four year-old, and a lot of bigger kids who are GREAT with the little ones. We also have a community playground and a community pool (that opens this weekend!). The layout of the house is much more conducive to having two small kids than our old house...it's really working out perfectly.
Owen has been phenomenal throughout the move. I was really worried how he might be affected, but he has been awesome. His sleep hasn't been disrupted at all (in fact, most of the time, he is sleeping better). His favorite thing about the new house is the dining room, I think! He will spend 30 minutes at a time just running around the dining room table squealing and giggling. I love it!
Now for the (lack of) Baby Myers #2 update...he is being stubborn just like his big brother!! I am now 40 weeks and 4 days pregnant (Owen was born at 41 weeks, 3 days), and have yet to make much progress. I am barely a centimeter dilated and not thinned out. At least the little turkey is head down, although he is still pretty high (or so they tell me...it feels like he is so low, I am practically dragging my stomach on the ground). These past few weeks have really taken a toll on me, physically. I am sure a lot of has to do with the two being so close together, the stress of moving, and the fact that I eat like crap, but I am EXHAUSTED! The weekend we moved, the little man also decided to get nice and cozy on my sciatic nerve. I truly think the pain of labor will be a relief compared to the pain I now have in my back. It's probably the worst feeling I've ever had in my life! I can barely walk...there have been times I've had to crawl to the bathroom. So...while I am sooo grateful for a doctor who allows me to listen to my body and doesn't push for something my body and most importantly, my baby isn't ready for...I am ready to have this baby!!! I have a doctor's appointment tomorrow, so hopefully some progress has been made.
I know this post has been uber-lame with no pictures, and I apologize. It has been a crazy couple of weeks :) I hope to be able to find some time to actually take some pictures, and when I do - you'll be the first to see them! Check back soon for some Baby Myers #2 news, hopefully!!
